Lead Roofs

We work with both sandcast and milled lead sheet and can repair or lay, any size of lead roof.

Lead sheet is one of the oldest and most durable of all roofing materials and if laid correctly can last for many hundreds of years. Modern milled lead sheet is made to the specification as set out in British Standard 1178. In recent years, lead sheet made by the continuously cast method is the main method of production.

As a general rule, if lead roofing, cladding or flashings are in relatively good condition i.e. just minor splits, appropriate repairs are the solution. However, more serious and extensive damage, may require the renewal of the lead work in total.
